The NORTHBATT HG Hybrid Gel series is built for repeated deep-cycle use, capable of hundreds of charge-discharge cycles.

The hybrid construction combines a nanometer gel electrolyte, a high-tin-content positive plate and an AGM-type separator, delivering consistent performance in parallel/grouped multi-unit setups — significantly better than conventional VRLA series.

The reinforced build (more lead, heavier plates, a special 10-day plate-curing process) ensures fast recovery after deep discharge and long service life.

Hybrid Gel Technology

Unlike conventional pure-AGM or pure-GEL VRLA batteries, Hybrid Gel technology combines the strengths of both: the high current delivery and stability of AGM with the deep-discharge resilience and temperature tolerance of GEL — excellent charge acceptance, fast recovery after over-discharge, and stable performance across high and low ambient temperatures.

Charging & Maintenance

Recommended charging voltage is 13.5 – 13.8 VDC (float, standby use) or 14.4–15.0 VDC (cycle use), with max/recommended charge current of 37.5A/15A. VRLA, fully sealed, maintenance-free — no electrolyte top-up required.

Storage

For extended storage, keep in a cool location (ideally 0–20°C) and recharge periodically every 3–6 months to prevent sulfation and capacity loss.
