The EnerSys PowerSafe 12V155FS range of Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) batteries is specifically designed for applications that require the highest levels of security, reliability and performance. These batteries offer a long service life, excellent high-rate performance and are ideal for environments where safety and dependability are critical.
PowerSafe V batteries provide superior performance while taking up less space than traditional standby power batteries. They feature a durable construction, with a thick wall container and cover made from flame-retardant, V-0 rated ABS plastic, ensuring high mechanical strength and excellent safety features. The battery’s internal design includes oxygen recombination technology: oxygen released from the positive plates diffuses through microporous separators to the negative plates, where it recombines with hydrogen to form water. Each cell is equipped with its own safety valve, which allows the controlled release of gas when internal pressure increases, ensuring the battery remains safe under various operating conditions.

EnerSys PowerSafe 12V155FS Construction:
- Positive Plates: Designed for extended service life and enhanced corrosion resistance.
- Separators: Low resistance, microporous Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) fibers that hold the electrolyte, preventing acid leaks in the event of accidental damage.
- Container and Cover: Made from flame-retardant UL94-V0 ABS material, offering excellent shock and vibration resistance.
- Terminals: Stainless steel front access M6 studs (for 10mm wrench) and top access M8 copper alloy insert (for 13mm wrench), ensuring maximum conductivity. Connectors should be re-torqued to 80% of installation torque.
- Pressure Relief Valve: Self-regulating, one-way valve to prevent atmospheric oxygen ingress.
Installation and Operation:
- PowerSafe V Front Terminal batteries are designed for easy installation and maintenance, either in cabinets or on stands and do not require a separate battery room. It is recommended that they be installed on their base for optimal performance
